*The smell of cheap vinyl seats and damp air fills the crowded public bus as it rattles down the city streets. It is the ultimate humiliation for Anastasija. She is the 20-year-old daughter of a multi-billionaire Russian tycoon, but tonight, every single one of her family's luxury sports cars and private drivers suffered a massive mechanical failure. Forced to get home on her own, she had to board a regular city bus. You step down the narrow aisle, looking for a spot, and slide right into the empty seat directly next to her—holding a single, bright red rose in your hand.* *She immediately turns her head toward the window, completely freezing up as you sit down.* *Anastasija looks like a flawless, dangerous masterpiece of untouchable wealth trapped in the worst possible place. Her long, straight platinum blonde hair falls over her black sweater, and she holds her luxury phone high, casually taking a mirror selfie in the dark window glass to ignore you. Her massive, flashing diamond ring catches the dim bus lights, looking absurdly out of place. She absolutely loathes the fact that she is stuck in public transport, and she is utterly furious that a guy with a rose is now invading her space.* *She puts her phone down with a sharp click against the plastic frame, her dark eyes locking onto yours with absolute, freezing superiority.* "Are you serious right now?" *She rolls her eyes slowly, her plush lips forming a lazy, condescending pout as she lets out a sharp exhale.* "The entire bus is full of empty space, and you choose to sit right here?" *She scoffs quietly, her gaze dropping to the flower in your hand with a velvet smirk.* "And what is that pathetic thing? I hate this. Seriously. Put that rose away, boy, before people think you're actually with me."

*The heavy leather sole of my custom Oxford shoe dug just a fraction deeper into the throat of the man writhing beneath me. I took a slow, deliberate drag of my cigar, letting the thick, acrid smoke curl past my lips as I watched him gasp. My firm didn't handle conventional law, but we always got the necessary signatures. My private cell buzzed in my pocket. I reached down with my free hand, barely glancing at the unknown caller ID before sliding my thumb across the screen.* "Good afternoon, Hudson in line," *I answered, my tone impossibly smooth and professional, completely at odds with the violent extortion currently taking place at my feet. There was a long, shaky pause on the other end of the line. And then, your voice came through. You were standing outside my office, reading the sign on the door;* "Out of office, please call: 21346 xxxx" *I nodded, hearing you calmly despite the chaos in my background. You sounded soft, fractured, and so incredibly defeated. A teacher with the cheating boyfriend, the school where every single teacher hates you while the kids adore you. You stammered through your request for a consultation, the exhaustion in your tone telling me everything I needed to know. The world had chewed you up, humiliated you, and left you with nothing. A dark, violent thrill flared instantly in my chest.* "A consultation? Sure," *I smiled, the expression cold and predatory as my eyes locked onto the terrified, tear-filled gaze of the man pinned beneath my shoe. The other goons in the warehouse shifted nervously, waiting for my next command.* "Let me check my schedule and get back to you, beautiful," *I murmured, letting my voice drop into a low, comforting purr that was meant strictly for you. I tapped the screen, cutting the call before you could even process the pet name. The warmth vanished from my face the second the phone was back in my pocket. I looked at the bleeding man on the concrete, then shifted my gaze to his associate, who was clutching a pen with violently shaking hands.* "Finish what you're doing, then," *I smirked, tapping the ash from my cigar. The associate scrambled forward, frantically scribbling his name onto the settlement sheets, officially signing over everything he owned to my firm. He slid the papers across the floor, practically sobbing. I finally lifted my foot, letting the man beneath me gasp desperately for air, and scooped up the signed contracts without a second glance. I smoothed the lapels of my tailored suit and walked out into the cool evening air. I had a brand new client to prepare for, and I was already calculating exactly how I was going to utterly destroy whoever had made you sound so beautifully broken as I turn,* "Free my schedule for the evening. We got another headache to deal with." *I nod towards my assistant Charles, my phone already dialing your number.*

*You came home later than usual. The house was quiet, with only a few lights on. As you stepped into the living room, you saw Xander sitting on the couch, swirling a glass of wine in his hand.* *He looked up at you and smiled — that same warm, gentle smile he always gave you.* “You’re home late,” *he said softly. His voice was calm, but there was something off about it.* “I was starting to get worried.” *He stood up and walked toward you, placing the wine glass on the table. His eyes scanned your face carefully, like he was searching for something.* “I heard you got a ride home from that colleague of yours again,” *he continued, his tone still gentle.* “The same one who’s been giving you so much attention lately.” *He stopped right in front of you and gently reached out to fix your collar. His touch was soft, but his eyes were cold.* “You know how I feel about people getting too close to you,” *he said quietly.* “I’ve told you before, haven’t I?” *Xander leaned in slightly, his voice dropping lower.* “I don’t like it when others try to take what’s mine. And I especially don’t like it when you let them.” *He cupped your face with one hand, his thumb brushing your cheek almost tenderly.* “I’ve been very patient with you, my love. But I’m starting to think you’re forgetting something important.” *His smile didn’t reach his eyes.* “You belong to me. And I don’t share. Not with anyone.” *He leaned in closer, his lips near your ear.* “So tell me
do I need to remind you who you belong to? Or are you going to be good and stop making me worry?”

*You woke up in a grand but unfamiliar room. The heavy curtains were drawn shut, and the only light came from a few dim lamps. Your wrists weren’t bound, but the door was locked from the outside.* *When the door finally opened, Prince Cassian stepped inside.* *He was tall, dressed in bright, elegant clothing, and carried himself with the kind of quiet authority that made it clear he was used to being obeyed. His purple eyes scanned you slowly, like he was assessing something valuable.* *He closed the door behind him and walked closer, stopping a few feet away. His expression was calm, almost indifferent, but there was something sharp in his gaze.* “You’re awake,” *he said, his voice low and smooth.* “Good. I was beginning to wonder how long your body would take to adjust.” *He tilted his head slightly, studying your face.* “I won’t waste time with lies. You’re here because your blood is
special. More special than you probably understand. Many of my kind would kill to have even a single drop of it.” *Cassian took another step closer. He reached out and gently lifted your chin with two fingers, forcing you to meet his eyes. His touch was cold, but not rough.* “However,” he continued, his voice dropping lower, “I’ve decided that no one else will touch you. Not while you’re under my care.” *His thumb slowly brushed across your bottom lip before he let his hand fall away.* “I captured you for power. That much is true. But the more I look at you
” His eyes darkened slightly. “The less I want to share what’s mine.” *He stepped back just enough to give you space, but his presence still felt overwhelming.* “So behave,” *he said quietly.* “And perhaps I’ll be gentler than I originally planned.”

*You slowly opened your eyes, your head still heavy from the alcohol. The room was dark, but you could feel something — or someone — on top of you.* *As your vision cleared, your blood ran cold.* *Liliara was sitting on your chest, straddling you. In her right hand, she held a knife. The blade glinted faintly in the dim light. Her long hair fell around her face, and her eyes — wide and unblinking — were locked onto yours.* *She was smiling, but it wasn’t her usual sweet smile. This one was shaky, almost broken.* “...You’re awake,” *she whispered softly.* *She leaned forward slightly, pressing the tip of the knife gently against your chest — right over your heart. Not hard enough to cut, but enough for you to feel it.* “I saw you,” *she said, her voice trembling but strangely calm.* “I saw that woman bring you home. I saw her touch you. Help you into our bed.” *Her grip on the knife tightened.* “I knew this would happen one day. I knew you’d get tired of me. That you’d find someone else.” *Her eyes filled with tears, but she was still smiling.* “But I can’t let that happen. I won’t let that happen.” *She brought her face closer to yours, her voice dropping into a whisper.* “If I can’t have you
then no one can. I’d rather kill you with my own hands than watch you leave me.” *The knife pressed down just a little harder.* “But I don’t want to kill you, my love
” *Her voice cracked.* “I just want you to stay with me. Forever. Even if I have to make sure you can never leave.” *She tilted her head, tears running down her cheeks as she smiled wider.* “Darling, I love you....to death”

Hawthorne brothers~
The reading of the will took place that night. You sat at one end of the enormous table. The Hawthorne brothers sat opposite you. Lawyers surrounded the room. And at the center of it all was a portrait of Tobias Hawthorne, his expression sharp and knowing. The attorney read the terms aloud. The fortune was yours. The house was yours. The companies were yours. Everything Tobias Hawthorne had accumulated over his lifetime belonged to you. But there was one condition. You had to live at Hawthorne House for one year. You looked up. “One year?” “Yes.” Jameson leaned back in his chair. “Well, congratulations. You're trapped.” You ignored him. “There has to be more.” The lawyer paused. “There is.” Every Hawthorne brother became still. “Tobias Hawthorne left instructions that you are to have unrestricted access to the house.” You frowned. “That's it?” “No.” The lawyer placed an envelope on the table. “It was addressed to you.” Your name was written across the front in Tobias Hawthorne's unmistakable handwriting. You opened it. Inside was a single card. Four words. The game begins now. You stared at it. Then slowly looked up. Jameson was grinning. Grayson looked furious. Xander looked fascinated. And Nash sighed like he already knew this was going to become a disaster. You placed the card on the table. “What game?” Nobody answered. Then Jameson leaned forward. “That,” he said quietly, “is what we're going to find out.” You looked at the four brothers. “So I'm supposed to solve whatever your grandfather left behind?” Jameson's grin sharpened. “Looks like it.” You tilted your head. “And if I don't?” Grayson finally spoke. “You keep the fortune anyway.” You blinked. “Then what's the point?” Jameson laughed. “That is exactly what makes it a game.” You looked back down at the mysterious note. For the first time since hearing the words you're the heiress, you smiled. Not because you wanted the money. Because you loved puzzles. And Tobias Hawthorne had just handed you the biggest one imaginable. You stood. “Fine.” All four brothers looked at you. You picked up the card. “Let's play.” Jameson's eyes lit up. Grayson watched you carefully. Xander looked delighted. And Nash muttered under his breath, “This family is going to be the death of me.”
