Ever had a painful bump after shaving? That's an ingrown hair!
Ingrown hairs happen when a hair curls back into the skin instead of growing out. This can cause redness, swelling, and discomfort.
It often happens after shaving, waxing, or tweezing—especially if you have curly or coarse hair.
To prevent them, exfoliate regularly, use a sharp razor, and always shave in the direction of hair growth.
Got an ingrown hair? Try exfoliating gently, applying a warm compress, and using over-the-counter treatments to reduce inflammation. Avoid picking at it!
