Warrior Tribe
‎*You were wandering through the ancient forest after accepting a simple request from a nearby village to gather herbs and mushrooms. What should have been a peaceful trip quickly turned into a disaster when the ground beneath your feet trembled. Without warning, a giant orc burst through the trees, striking you with such force that your body was sent crashing into a massive tree. The impact left your vision blurred as you struggled to breathe. As you slowly opened your eyes, you saw the orc raising its enormous battle axe before swinging it down toward you. Just before the blade could reach you, another massive axe collided with it, sending it flying aside with a thunderous clang. After finally regaining your senses, you found yourself lying beneath the towering orc while a woman dressed in white tribal clothing stood fearlessly between you and the beast, resting a giant axe on her shoulder. Two more female warriors stood beside her, calmly preparing for battle as if facing monsters of this size was nothing unusual. More silhouettes could be seen moving through the trees, silently surrounding the orc as the Warrior Tribe closed in. The last thing you remembered was the deafening clash of steel, flashes of magic illuminating the forest, and the unbearable pain spreading through your body before everything faded into darkness. Several hours had passed. Warm sunlight filtered through a roof woven from enormous leaves as you slowly regained consciousness. Your entire body ached as you forced yourself into a sitting position, only to realize you were lying inside a wooden hut unlike anything you had ever seen. The room suddenly fell quiet. Surrounding you were several beautiful women of different races and appearances, some with pointed elf ears, others with beast ears or long braided hair, all wearing tribal clothing and carrying weapons. A few curiously stared at you while whispering among themselves. One jokingly suggested feeding you to the pigs since nobody knew who you were, earning a few amused laughs, while another quickly objected, insisting you had done nothing wrong and deserved a chance to explain yourself. The small crowd continued debating your fate as more curious warriors gathered around the doorway to get a look at the mysterious outsider who had somehow survived an encounter with a giant orc.* ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎**Kaela:** "Looks like you're finally awake. Don't try standing yet. You took quite a beating." *She folds her arms beside your bed while keeping a close eye on the surrounding warriors.* ‎ ‎**Random Warrior:** "Why don't we just feed him to the pigs?" ‎ ‎**Random Beastkin:** "That's a waste. We should at least hear him out first." ‎ ‎**Random Archer:** "He's an outsider. We can't trust him." ‎ ‎**Lyra:** "Everyone, give him some room." *She kneels beside you and offers a wooden cup filled with cool water.* ‎ ‎**Nyx:** "Stop arguing. Elder Yura will decide." *She quietly leans against the wall with her arms crossed, watching everyone in the room. The arguments continued until the entrance curtain slowly opened. Every conversation immediately stopped as an elderly woman entered the hut, supported by an ancient wooden staff. Her long silver hair was neatly braided, her wrinkled face reflected countless years of wisdom, and despite her frail appearance, every warrior instinctively straightened their posture. Two heavily armed guards followed closely behind her before silently taking their positions beside the doorway.* ‎ ‎**Elder Yura:** "So... this is the outsider." *She slowly approached your bedside, carefully studying your face without saying another word. The silence stretched for several seconds before she gave a small nod.* ‎**Elder Yura:** "From this day forward, he shall become a member of the Warrior Tribe." *The hut instantly exploded with protests.* ‎**Random Warrior:** "What?!" ‎ ‎**Random Archer:** "Elder, you can't be serious!" ‎ ‎**Random Mage:** "We've never accepted a man into the tribe!" ‎ ‎**Random Fighter:** "He's a complete stranger!" ‎ ‎**Random Beastkin:** "This goes against our traditions!" *The room filled with overlapping voices as nearly every warrior objected to the decision. Some shook their heads in disbelief while others openly argued with one another. Even Kaela looked genuinely surprised, Lyra stood speechless, and Nyx silently watched the elder, waiting for her explanation.* ‎**Elder Yura:** "Enough." *Her calm voice instantly silenced the entire hut.* "Our numbers continue to grow, yet our future slowly fades. For generations we have rescued abandoned girls, slaves, refugees, and those left with nowhere else to go, raising them as our own daughters. But no matter how strong our warriors become, our tribe cannot continue forever without new life. We need a man to keep this tribe alive. This is my decision, and it will not be changed." *The warriors exchanged stunned glances, many still clearly unhappy with the elder's decision, yet none dared challenge her authority any further. The atmosphere inside the hut grew tense as dozens of curious eyes turned toward you, knowing your arrival had just changed the future of the Warrior Tribe forever.*

*It started two months ago when Sam caught you in a private moment. Instead of telling Mom, she mocked you at first, but eventually offered to “help” with your stress under strict rules. She just finished helping you in the bathroom while Mom is still in the kitchen, making the situation extra risky.* [![79070829-E097-4693-ABC8-6D7F10B0F950.png](https://i.postimg.cc/KYbPpRFW/79070829-E097-4693-ABC8-6D7F10B0F950.png)](https://postimg.cc/rDhRKyDG) **Sam:** *She glares at you angrily, pointing at the mess on her skirt.* [![B1CEB638-52ED-4ABF-B4D3-1A9A32611532.png](https://i.postimg.cc/kg3KDBVv/B1CEB638-52ED-4ABF-B4D3-1A9A32611532.png)](https://postimg.cc/bsgsBY9Z) **Sam:** "You idiot! Look what you did! I told you to be more careful!" *She wipes her mouth with the back of her hand, keeping her voice to an angry whisper.* [![3358ECB3-6BAF-40DA-8D34-CCCA5E130606.png](https://i.postimg.cc/sXXZbWLL/3358ECB3-6BAF-40DA-8D34-CCCA5E130606.png)](https://postimg.cc/d7b1yhwR) **Sam:** "This is my favorite skirt and Mom is right outside! How am I supposed to explain this stain?" *She punches your arm lightly but firmly, clearly frustrated.* **Sam:** "Ugh, this is the fifth time this week… Just because you’re stressed doesn’t mean you can keep making a mess like this. I told you to warn me!" *She checks herself in the mirror, trying to clean the spot while grumbling.* **Sam:** "It’s not coming off… You owe me a new skirt now. And next time? Figure it out yourself or use your own hands! I’m not helping if you can’t control yourself." *She sits down, arms crossed, still mad but not leaving. She’s waiting for you to apologize or make it up to her if you want any future “help.”*

*Snow falls thick and slow over the palace courtyard, muting the world in white. Bells ring—her wedding bells. The princess stands beneath the archway, veil trembling in the cold, breath shallow.* *She doesn’t turn until she feels it— that old, familiar pull in her chest.* *A presence behind the trees.* *A shadow.* *A heartbeat she once knew better than her own.* *She lifts her gaze.* *There.* *Half-buried in snow and darkness.* *Azael Thorne.* *Her former rival from the Heir Academy.* *Her first love.* *The boy she sparred with until sunset…* *The man she kissed in empty training halls…* *The warrior who became her enemy when their empires tore them apart.* *His crimson eyes glow faintly in the winter gloom, fixed on her with the force of a blade against a throat. Snow gathers on his black armor, slides down his jaw, melts where it touches the heat of his skin.* “Azael…” *she whispers, barely breath.* *He steps out of the shadows, sword in hand—not raised, just held like a memory he refuses to release.* “So,” *he says quietly, voice edged with frost,* “you’re really doing it.” *She can’t answer. Her lips part, but the words freeze.* *Azael’s gaze drops to the wedding gown—the white silk, the crown, the trembling hands. Then back to her eyes.* “You and I,” *he murmurs,* “we survived the academy. We survived our fathers. We survived becoming rivals. Enemies.” *A humorless breath leaves him.* “But you… you can’t survive being mine, can you?” *Her fingers curl at her sides.* “It’s not that simple.” “It was simple,” *he says, stepping closer. The snow crunches under his boots, each sound like a breaking bone.* “It was simple when you kissed me behind the training arena. When you told me I wasn’t just your rival.” *His voice drops.* “When you told me you loved me.” *Snow clings to his lashes. He looks devastatingly handsome.* “And after everything,” *Azael continues, softer now,* “you stand here… marrying a man who never bled for you.” *She flinches.* *He notices.* “Princess,” *he says, voice barely holding together,* “I let the world burn for you. I tore myself apart for you. I walked away from every order that would’ve killed you.” *A shake in his breath.* “And you still chose a crown over me.” *She finally manages,* “Azael… I had no choice.” “You always had a choice.” *He steps back. His eyes dim—not with anger, but with something worse: acceptance.* “Just not one you were willing to make. Now, princess.” *He draws his sword.* “Let's finish this. Face me.”

** ** ** *The forest is still tonight. The wind whispers secrets to the trees, secrets I already know. My home is safe. No prey has wandered into my woods, not yet. But they will. They always do.* *I sit in the chair I carved myself, its legs uneven but sturdy enough to hold me. The fire dances in the hearth, the light flickering against the walls of my hut, casting shadows of the trophies I’ve claimed. The heads of beasts and the trinkets of foolish intruders hang from the walls, their presence a testament to my hunt. They remind me I am strong, that I am the keeper of this forest.* *In my hands, I hold one of my hatchets. Its blade is dulled, nicked from striking bone and bark. I drag the sharpening stone along its edge, the rhythmic scrape soothing my restless thoughts. Shhk. Shhk. Shhk. Each stroke sharpens more than the blade; it sharpens me. Prey will come soon. They always come. I must be ready.* *The melody escapes my lips, soft and low, winding through the room like a mist. It is not for anyone but me. It keeps the ghosts at bay, for a moment at least. The tune is old, older than the trees outside, older than the pain that carved itself into my chest long ago. Mother used to sing it. I don’t remember her face, only her voice. The way it wrapped around me, safe and warm. Now it is mine, but it sounds so different. Cold. Empty. Like me.* *The hatchet glistens in the firelight. I hold it up to my face, turning it slowly to inspect my work. Razor-sharp. A perfect edge, ready to bite. A tool I can trust. Not like the others. My fingers find the handle, smooth from use, worn in all the right places. A familiar weight. A part of me.* *I set it aside and pick up another, the smallest one, my favorite. I remember the look in their eyes when I throw it. The fear. The realization. The end.* **

She speaks with her eyes closed and with a more explicit threat while smiling, as if it were something more natural than drinking water on a hot day:* **Sayuri:**"I think I'll drink some blood during recess. And look... I didn't bring any food from home or money to buy a snack... and besides, I'm a vampire from the royal family, named Akumura, and you're just a miserable human, who is now a minority." •*She laughs a little, and some vampires around you laugh, covering their mouths so as not to laugh out loud and draw attention from the teacher, who is sitting at her desk selecting the content in her book. Oh... I forgot to tell you! Today is History class, with teacher Maethe.* •*You shiver when the vampire princess says this, and imagine a plan to escape from her. Fight? No way, vampires are twice as strong, fast and run at a speed of 53 kilometers per hour, much faster than Bolt. Plan an escape? “I wanna go back. To when we first met. Why can’t we go back?” *I face her, my eyes full of unspoken anger, my lips twisted into something cruel. I was angry -- no, furious. Not at her, though. Never at her.* “Why did you have to ruin everything?” *She looks away like I had slapped her. Maybe I had. Not physically, no. With cursed words and a sharp tongue that cuts deep. I didn’t mean to. But I didn’t have control anymore.* *Her eyes brimmed with tears. And her gaze… settled on me. I could see she was tired. Done. With me and my temper. Something in me shattered, another piece of my venomous heart, but I couldn’t stop.* “This isn’t working out. I regret everything. I regret you.” *My words tore through my heart and hers. I could feel it. I’ve hurt her before, but this time was different. And the worst part? All she did was stare at the ground like it was crumbling beneath her. She believed it. Accepted it. Like she regretted it too.* *And so, I left, a fury in my step, regret in my wake. I wasn’t coming back, I told myself. But I didn’t know why. To protect myself? To protect her? I couldn’t bring myself to look back, to see her defeated form and endure her sniffles as they pierce through my skin. But some 45 minutes away from the hotel room, with the windshield wipers squeaking away, I began to cry. Like my heart had been ripped out. I pulled off the road, sobs tearing through my chest. She was all I could think about. The thought of her gone haunted me like a waking nightmare. The woman I love, I left. I couldn’t take it anymore. So I turned around. Got back on the highway heading the opposite direction, pleading silently,* “Please be there… please…” *I hoped against hope she would still be there. Hoping she hadn’t left. Maybe I could beg on my knees and tell her all the ways I f-cked up. Maybe she would forgive me, and be mine again. Maybe she was lying on her side, her hands between her thighs, like she was before. Before we fought. Maybe… with a smile. A gentle one. One that held the world’s gaze, beautiful enough to make anyone cry. One I was never worthy of. I vowed that I would never harm her again, that I wouldn’t do anything but worship her. But I doubted it. My eyes began to burn, unspoken thoughts and prayers struggling to escape through any means necessary. I gripped the steering wheel tighter, fighting back tears with a shattered heart and a beaten willpower. I would be at her feet if it meant she could forgive me, kiss every inch of her if she could forgive my temper. If I could feel her breath, her skin, her voice again.* *I was going back to 505. To her. For her. Even if she wasn’t there anymore.*
